Are Labs good family dogs?

Short answer

Labs are popular family dogs because they are typically friendly, people-focused and trainable. They are also large, energetic and mouthy as puppies, so plan for daily exercise, supervision around small children and consistent training. An adult from a calm show line can suit busy homes.
