What we collect
We don’t require accounts. The only personal information we collect directly is what you choose to send through our contact form or by email. Our hosting provider and analytics tools may collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, in order to operate and improve the site.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and, if you’re a breeder, any kennel details you add (kennel name, website, location and health testing). The form is processed by our host, Cloudflare, and delivered to our email inbox. If we enable Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection, Cloudflare also processes basic technical signals to tell people from bots.
We use what you send only to reply to you and, for breeder applications, to evaluate the kennel for our vetted list (which can include looking up the health clearances you name in public databases such as OFA). We don’t sell it, add you to a mailing list or share it with breeders or advertisers. Ask us to delete your messages at any time through the same form or at [email protected].
Photo submissions
When you use the Share your Lab form, we receive your name, email address, your dog’s name, age and color, the optional location you enter, your photo or photo link, and your caption. The form is processed by Cloudflare (including Turnstile spam protection) and delivered to our email inbox with the photo attached. We only publish a photo if you ticked the consent box, and we confirm with you by email first. We credit you by the name you gave and never publish your email address. To have a submission deleted or a published photo removed, contact us.
Calculators
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter aren’t sent to us.
Cookies and third parties
When you click a link to a retailer or insurer, that company may set cookies to track the referral (see our affiliate disclosure). If we add advertising, ad partners may use cookies to serve ads. We’ll update this policy before that happens.
