Tips for a name that works
- One or two syllables are easiest to call across a field.
- Avoid names that sound like cues. “Kit” sounds like “sit”; “Bo” sounds like “no”.
- Test the shout. Would you be comfortable yelling it at the dog park?
- Teach it with the name game: say the name, reward the look. Ten reps a day.
