When should a Lab start intermediate training?

By · Updated

Short answer

Move on once sit, down, come and leave it work reliably at home and on walks, often between six and twelve months. Then add heel, longer stays, door manners and off-leash recall on a long line. Go back to basics whenever a skill falls apart.
