What is a Dudley Lab?

By · Updated

Short answer

A Dudley is a yellow Labrador with a brown (liver) nose, eye rims and foot pads instead of black ones. It happens when a yellow Lab (ee) also inherits two copies of the brown gene (bb), the same gene that makes chocolates. A Dudley is purebred, and the brown nose itself is a cosmetic difference.
