Can Labs eat grapes or raisins?

By · Updated

Short answer

No. Grapes, raisins, sultanas and currants can cause sudden kidney failure in dogs, and there is no known safe amount: some dogs get sick after only a few. If your Lab eats any, call your vet, ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 or Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661 right away.
